There
are a number of water taxi services along the Abel Tasman
coastline, running both scheduled services and also customised
trips.
All
boats have an excellent safety record and even on scheduled
services, they will always stop to show you marine life
and sights of the area.
We
always use one company, Abel Tasman Aquataxi, who we have
found to be very helpful and efficient. They offer a very
good pack delivery service to make our walking much more
comfortable.

Aquapacker
The Aquapacker Company
has two boats moored just off the beach at Anchorage,
offering a floating version of backpacker accommodation.
Most of the beds are individual
bunk beds, although there are also private double cabins
for couples. All meals are included in the stay and
beer and wine is available. You can even have a nice
hot shower.
