SUSTAINABILITY
We operate a business taking people into nature to experience the peacefulness, beauty and amazing scenery of Kahurangi and Abel Tasman National Parks.  We try to run Kahurangi Guided Walks with respect and awareness of our natural surroundings and with intentions to limit the impact on our natural environment.  We adopt the following principles in running Kahurangi Guided Walks:
Picture
Source as much food locally as possible (fruit, veg, smoked fish, etc)
Picture
We make all our own trail treats, eliminating wrappers and plastic on the trail
Picture
Leave no trace – we take only photos and leave only footprints
Picture
No helicopters – we stock all of our supply boxes ourselves by foot
Picture
We offset all driving emissions through Ekos (view certificate)
Picture
We pack out all rubbish, recycling gets recycled in Golden Bay and compost goes into our compost pile to make veggies for next season
Picture
Donate $10 per trip to local charity Golden Bay Friends of Nepal – building houses and schools in earthquake-damaged areas of Nepal
